Hey all!
Well we made it through a second week in Cowboy country. We have everything unpacked and are settled in! We have met most of our neighbors by now and all seem like nice people. We got to visit Susan Keller's (Doug's mom) home church this past Sunday and enjoyed meeting everyone there.
I haven't started at work yet, but it is still in the works. I did have the interview last week and it lasted about 4 hours. Yes, it's true...that is not a mistype. My future boss and I discussed the job for about an hour and the remainder of the time we discussed theology. He is a devout Mormon so we had plenty to discuss :) Please be in prayer on my witness to him and teaching the truth of Scripture to him. Hopefully by the end of the week I will be an employed man again. Thanks for your prayers on this! Although I won't complain because the rest and relaxation before school has been nice. Our batteries are recharged and now we are ready to begin the busy journey here in Seminary.
Kristan has started the nasty and dirty task of washing the cloth diapers by hand. She has figured out a system that works really well and saves us a lot of money. We were using the washer and dryer here but Emma broke out in a chemical burn from the different detergents used by everyone in the washing machine. We either had the choice of not being able to use the cloth diapers and buying disposables or hand washing the cloths. Needless to say the much cheaper option was the best choice.
Well not much else to update on. Thank you all for your prayers and please continue to pray for us to follow God's direction and guidance here in Ft. Worth. As always, please let us know updates on you and how we can pray for you!
Chris, Kristan, Emma, and Baby Hendrix
Kristan deserves the best Mother's Day gift ever for washing those diapers. Yuck!
